Website advertises that lenses would have Ray-ban label, but do not
Email reply to purchaser: Thank you again for your order and for reaching out. I completely understand appreciation of the little Ray-Ban logo on the lenses — it’s a nice touch. I wanted to share the exact wording that appears directly on the product page at the time you place your order (this section was right under the price and model details): Custom Lenses “Price, as reflected, includes custom reading lenses fitted in our optical lab here in Dallas. These are the identical lenses we use in our high-end optical stores for prescription use.” This style is an authentic Ray-Ban frame that originally came with demonstration lenses from Ray-Ban, similar to an optical store. Because Ray-Ban does not manufacture any ready-made reading glasses or progressive readers, we removed those original demo lenses and installed brand-new, custom-made progressive reading/sun lenses in our Dallas lab — exactly the same premium lenses we (and most optical stores) use for prescription customers. The small etched Ray-Ban logo only appears on lenses that come directly from Ray-Ban/Luxottica (their standard non-reading sun lenses or the significantly more expensive lenses we can order through their official RX program). Once the frame is re-lensed with custom prescription or reader lenses — outside of Ray-Ban's own labs— that logo is no longer present. In short: You received 100% authentic Ray-Ban frames With true custom progressive reader/sun lenses of the same optical quality you’d get at a fine optical shop. At roughly 20% of what an authorized Ray-Ban lab sourced pair would charge for the identical customization We’re sorry the product description didn’t make the absence of the logo even more obvious — that’s on us. Your satisfaction means everything. If having the Ray-Ban logo etched on the lens is important to you, we’re happy to take the glasses back for a full refund (or exchange for something else in stock. Or, quote you if you wish us to process through Ray-Ban lab network. Just let us know what you’d prefer and we’ll make it happen right away with a prepaid return label.
