How do computer
lenses work?

Anti-Reflective Computer Lenses

Computer Lenses, sometimes referred to as Office or Occupational Lenses, make it easy for your eyes to move back and forth between near vision tasks like computer work and reading printed material.

Computer lenses are a specialty type of progressive lens designed for today's world. Like any progressive lenses, they eliminate the need for multiple pairs of glasses. But more important, they give your eyes the focal length they need as they need it, greatly reducing eye strain.

1. Select your normal reading magnification power and the lens will do the rest. The upper portion of these lenses allow for intermediate range viewing, perfect for computer, not to mention tasks like, cooking, sewing, following sheet music, drafting or reading blueprints, and many more uses.

2. As you lower your focus to the bottom portion of the lens, the lens acts like any reading lens, making it easy to read cellphone screens, pill bottles, newspapers, or the latest best sellers. The included high quality Anti-Reflective Coating reduces eye strain even more, allowing you to enjoy your work and hobbies.

maybe it's me. but computer progressives don't work (for me)

if you know this magnification approach works for you, then great, but these were my first, and 2 weeks it is like I forgot how to read.

    My response

The vision is fine but the ear posts are too long and bending them has left them a bit uncomfortable. But I will keep them.

Tried many different ones - this is it!

I've tried many different types of readers and the Computer ones are the best! Great for up close reading and computer usage when you are on the computer all day.

    Uncomfortable and weird magnification

Not sure why there were good reviews. I’ve had many glasses and these rate with the worst. A thin type of cheap metal frames that are really wide and I can’t see any at any distance. Not sure wash at was done.
    Staff Response:

These are computer lens, not standard progressives. Reaching out privately to assist.

    Just what my eyes needed!

I love these computer style progressives. I know longer have to switch up my glasses while I'm working. These frames are super light and comfy too!

    Peripheral distortion

I really, really want to like these glasses. They are light weight, well crafted frames. The progression in the focus of the lenses is fairly smooth and accurate. When you move your head up and down, it's actually kind of fun to see things change in clarity. The problem is when you move your head side to side. The image stretches and bends on the edges, actually me dizzy. I have read up on progressive lenses and this is a key problem for all of them. Articles imply that you should wear them for two weeks to train your eyes to not notice the bending. But, after trying them around the house, I'm afraid to walk up and down the stairs because I feel like I'm in a funhouse and not sure where the stair actually is. It's actually nauseating to wear them. If you're used to wearing progressive lenses, these will probably be a good deal. But, if you're new to wearing them, be prepared for a significant break in period. For me, it's a deal breaker and I will taking advantage of the company's excellent return policy.

    Nice frame

I bought the computer glasses in this frame. The frame is stylish, looks nice, but it runs a bit wide. I have purchased a number of frames from here over the years, and haven't had an issue with the fit before. They work great, just a little big on me.

    Easy to wear

I work at a computer all day and find these glasses to be so light that I forget I'm wearing them. Nice fit for me, they would get 5 stars if they had spring hinges.
