It’s my first time buying reading glasses, where do I start?
If you’re hunting for your first pair of readers, we created a primer that goes over the various styles we offer. Once you find out the type of frames you want, you’ll want to choose the right lenses.
If this is the first time you’re getting reading glasses, start with something that has a lighter strength. The symptoms that make reading difficult generally begin as a mild inconvenience. If you only have to hold what you’re reading a bit closer to your face than normal, something with a +.25 magnification is likely all you need. If, however, you need to hold the paper much closer than you used to, something stronger is likely required.
How do I select the right size and fit?
We offer reading glasses in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you can find frames that flatter your features. On each product page, we have helpful perfect fit graphics that show you what face shapes are the best fit for each type of frames. If you want a little more detail, every product page also includes a sizing tab, giving you all the measurements for those frames.
Can I save my items for purchase later?
If your shopping is interrupted and you prefer to wait until another day to complete your purchase, you can return to our online store (from the same computer) within 7 days and your selections will remain on hold for you in your shopping cart. You may access your cart by clicking the shopping cart graphic on the top right corner of the home page.
Do you sell prescription lenses?
We do not sell prescription lenses on our website, but most of our designer frames are compatible with the frames your eye doctor has. If you want to outfit a pair of our readers with a prescription, contact us and we’ll give you the exact measurements your doctor needs to make a set of compatible lenses.
If you prefer to buy everything from one source, we can order and insert the lenses for you. Just email us a copy of your prescription, and we’ll give you a quote for how much it will cost.
Can I try glasses on before buying them?
When you order anything from our website, you’ll have to pay for the frames before they’re shipped your way. We know that finding the perfect pair of reading glasses can be difficult if you’re only going off of pictures online, which is why we let you return any specs you don’t like within 30 days, for any reason.
If you want to try our products on in a store, we have two locations in Texas, and one in Oklahoma where we keep our most popular products in stock. Use our store locator to find the Reading Glasses To Go location closest to you.
How long will it take to ship my order?
We do our best to get your new glasses shipped as quickly as possible. If you order before 3pm (central time) Monday-Friday, your order is processed the same business day. We offer FREE Standard Shipping on all domestic orders. For international customers, contact us to get a list of our competitive rates.
Can I return or exchange my frames at a Reading Glasses To Go store?
Yes! Just bring your original receipt with you to the store and we’ll be happy to refund, return, or exchange your order. Use our store locator to find the location nearest to you. If your receipt from your web purchase is missing, we will be happy to process your return through our customer service department at our corporate address noted above.
