DALLAS, January 13, 2009 — In continuing humanitarian efforts, ReadingGlasses.com and Reading Glasses To Go retail stores announce its donation of 2,230 new pairs of men's and women's reading glasses to American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee's (JDC) non-sectarian projects, directly benefiting the people of Rwanda, Africa.
Propelled by the value of "One people, one heart" (Rashi, Exodus, 12:2), JDC's International Development Program works in partnership with international aid agencies, with local governmental and nongovernmental organizations, and with local Jewish communities to assist distressed communities around the world.
