Nice light Maui Jim's
Great glasses and they preform as touted. Readers were a tad low, but getting used to that the more I wear em. And good looking enough that as the host of Brush Country Monsters TV, the producer won't fuss when I wear em on camera.

I have these in regular sunglasses and have loved them. I was a bit concerned as I had read reviews indicating the reader portion of the lens was too small. They took a brief time to adjust to but where great for reading on the beach.

Readers too low
I loved the glasses but the readers were way too low for my comfort level and unfortunately had to return them.

These glasses are light, great optics, and great fit. The only thing that was better than your product was your service when I exchanged my first pair of glasses that I just didn't like.

Maui Jim Ho'okipa Bifocal Glasses

Best sunglasses with readers I have ever owned. Pilots beware, they are polarized and it is very difficult to read your screens.

time will tell...
There is much about these glasses that I do like. They are light weight and the polarization and sun protection is excellent. The reader part on the bottom is too small...I'm not pleased with that. I've had the glasses for a very brief period of time, so I'm hoping I will eventually grow to love them since I paid so much for them. They seem so delicate and I find myself really "babying" them, which for sunglasses, can sometimes be hard to do on the run. I guess time will tell.

This is exactly as it says on the tin: a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses with a reading 'section'. It's not graduated, and looks like they get a standard pair of Maui Jim's and etch the reading section onto the lens. The only thing to bear in mind is: if you tend to wear your sunglasses slightly away from your face (as I do), the reading section drops further away, needing a more pronounced downward glance to actually read - not a deal-breaker for me, but worth knowing!.

Expensive but great glasses
I was hesitant to spend so much money on these glasses because they seemed flimsy and pricey. And because a few years back I had purchased a pair of metal hinge-less glasses, and ended up sending them back to Maui Jim 3x for repairs. Because I now need readers, I decided to spend the money on these. They are much more durable than I expected, and I LOVE the nose piece. It keeps the glasses from slipping down your nose when you sweat or are wearing sunscreen. I wore these glasses on a small catamaran in Mexico which flipped over... and I was pleasantly surprised that the glasses stayed on my face after I fell into the water. It was at this point that I fell in love with them! They are also great for reading and seeing the controls when driving! I like them so much, I bought another pair for a dear friend.

Best sunglasses ever made!
These lenses are the most technically advanced, multi-coated polarized lenses available on the market. The frames are extremely light and comfortable, and the reader segment on the lens is perfectly placed so that it doesn't interfere with the distance area of the lens at all. No distortion, perfect clarity, as in all Maui Jim products. I have a 35 year optical frame and lens background, and can attest to the quality of this product. The customer service at this company is so efficient, I got replies back to my e-mail inquiries within minutes. I would never hesitite to use them again and I do recommend them highly.

Father's Day Gift that was loved
My husband had a pair of these glasses that he wore when he was flying his plane, and loved them, well someone else did to and they disappeared. So, this was a great and muchly appreciated gift.

Well made but not my kind
These glasses are made very well, come very nicely packaged. However, I returned them for 2 reasons which some may consider my fault. My head cannot stand the straight back ear pieces that drove me crazy. Too tight and the regular style earpiece works for me better. I found the bifocal area so small and so low on the lens to be rather useless for me. But they are certainly nicely made.

Maui Jim Ho\\\'okipa Bifocal Sun Reader
Great sunglasses, stay on and don\\\'t slip during golf on hot days. Able to read car instruments/GPS, scorecard, etc. Just wish they made \\"no line\\" readers.

The most amazing sunglasses I have ever owned. The brilliance and clarity is astonishing. I had no idea. Additionally the construction of the frames is superior quality, also the best I have ever owned. Regardless of price, I will never purchase another brand.

These bifocal sunglasses do an excellent job of shielding your eyes from the sun, and letting you read. Great for the pool, beach, driving the car, etc. I received these and immediately ordered a second pair for the other car.

clarity is unmatched, had to order a pair for my wife

Previously enjoyed the non-bifocal version of these glasses. this is a very welcome addition, particularly for the car. Terrific addition to my collection.

Bought a pair of Maui Jim Ho'okipa sunglasses readers. Bifocal sunglasses allow me to carry only one pair of glasses in the car. Would not recommend for extensive reading. The convex lens shape appears to distort print just a little. All-in-all, very functional and worth the money.

Great Pool Side
Primarily used for reading out by the pool and beach, normally wear 1.5 or 1.75, 2.0 worked perfectly because of the fact that there was less light. I have this frame in regular collection of Maui Jim sunglasses.

OMG THESE ARE AMAZING
I bought a pair of these for my husband but they are so awesome I keep using them instead. The bifocal is so far down, it doesn't hinder your distance vision at all. When you need to read your cell or dig through your wallet, they are perfect.
